Biography

Piao Zhengguo, Chief Physician, Postdoctoral Fellow, and Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University. He graduated from Jilin University and, after graduation, stayed at the university to work at the Stomatological Hospital of Jilin University. He has long been engaged in clinical and teaching work in oral and maxillofacial surgery. In 2002, he completed further training at Beijing Huangsi Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Hospital. In 2003, he pursued a doctoral degree at Yonsei University in South Korea under Professor Lee Sang-hwi, a renowned Korean expert in plastic and aesthetic surgery; after obtaining his doctoral degree, he completed postdoctoral research at the College of Dentistry, Yonsei University, South Korea.

Specializes in congenital and acquired deformities of the oral and maxillofacial region (congenital cleft lip and palate, secondary deformities), facial contouring surgery, correction of mandibular angle hypertrophy (including: facial reshaping, square-shaped face, mandibular angle hypertrophy, mandibular asymmetry, large face, square face), zygomatic reduction (bone grinding, bone shaving, facial bone slimming, reduction of overly high or wide zygomatic bones, reduction of zygomatic prominence), craniomaxillofacial surgical correction/other maxillary and mandibular osteoplasties (malocclusion, mandibular contouring, underbite, overbite, protruding mouth, crooked mouth, bird-beak deformity, reverse bite, jaw deviation, chin retrusion).
